🇧🇷⚡️Brazil Tour: How to address 80 millions of lawsuits?

Oct 04, 2019

Did you know the justice system in Brazil is immersed in 80 millions lawsuits? In a society that is totally digital-ready, the question remains how to better resolve, prevent, and manage disputes and to use the law as a tool to create outcomes that matters to clients.

With that in mind, we have put a tour in the entire country, starting in June with a 10-day visit in 3 cities and then again in July and August visiting 9 cities from North to South, to deliver a full day Masterclass using the original methodology of Legal Creatives Design.

During this full day to practice the Legal Creatives Design methodology, participants got to learn:

✔️1 Methodology for innovation in law at the intersection of Design Thinking, Service Design and Legal Design.

✔️3 Case studies to understand the methodology.

✔️6 Tools for practicing and maximizing results.

And an entire day to practice.

🚀⚡️During this series of Masterclasses, participants got to learn and apply the Legal Creatives' Legal UX Canvas (UX - User Experience) and got to create innovative customer experience models.

With the case studies and activities, participants got to be more "Design-ready" for the new law. Equipped with newly acquired techniques, it only gets easier to re-design legal content such as contracts, as well as legal processes and even legal product using Legal Creatives Product Design.

Masterclasses were taught in English and Portuguese with the fabulous contribution of local facilitators and all the content was made available in Portuguese in an online portal, in which participants can connect and interact across the country.

⚖️🌪⚡️With 80 millions of disputes, the disruption of the legal market as we know it is just a matter of time. In the Legal Creatives Design Sprint we organized to address the topic with a special Legal Creatives Design Sprint on the Future of Dispute Resolution.

Participants reinventing petitions to be presented to judges, prototyped attractive technological solutions in Law Tech and Legal Tech and then transferred the methodology to their workplace enabling a new approach with partners, colleagues and clients.

In total, 820 lawyers (and one judge) were trained at Legal Creatives Design during the tour. With a  strong and big community in São Paulo and in other cities we visited (São Paulo, Recife, Brasília, Fortaleza, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Santos and Campinas as well).

By the end of this tour, Legal Creatives Design Sprints & Masterclass participants achieved the following results:

✔️Reinventing traditional law practice by developing new innovative approaches and practices

✔️Prototyping of attractive and viable technology solutions in Law Tech and Legal Tech that can be developed in law firms, legal departments and startups.

✔️Transferring Legal Design methodology to the workplace enabling a new approach with partners, colleagues and clients.

✔️Get promoted as head of innovation in Big law!

It will come to no surprise, given we generated all together more the 1000+ ideas in this tour to solve critical challenges in legal service model delivery, combing creativity and design in a unique and original framework that we call: The Legal Creatives Methodology.

💛💚With our new COO that joined us in Brazil, Carol Hannud, we are continuing to deliver more Masterclasses and other impactful programs created to address specific challenges.

Aiming to contribute to the discussion of Legal Design in Privacy, Carol Hannud is going to deliver with Marcel Leonardi a full day of immersion in Legal Creatives Design for Digital Products and Processes. The first edition of this new Masterclass "Privacy by Design" is happening in São Paulo, on October 26, 2019.
