7. International Data Transfers

In short: Because we’re based in the U.S. and work with global providers, your data may be processed outside your country. When this happens, we use legal safeguards (like Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

By using our website and services, you understand that your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, and that we take reasonable and legally required steps to protect it wherever it goes.

Why might my data leave my country?

We are a U.S.-based company serving a global community. This means your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and other countries where we or our trusted service providers operate.

These transfers allow us to:

  • Run our website and courses

  • Process payments securely

  • Provide customer support

  • Improve our services

Where is my data mainly stored?

Our website and online programs are hosted on Kajabi, LLC, our primary service provider.

Kajabi primarily stores customer and user data on servers located in the United States. While Kajabi uses cloud-based infrastructure that may process data in multiple locations to support global operations, the main data storage location remains the U.S.

Kajabi is contractually required to protect your personal data to the same standard, regardless of where it is processed.

You can review Kajabi’s full Data Processing Addendum (DPA) here for details about their safeguards.

What happens if my data is transferred from the EU, UK, or Brazil?

When personal data is transferred from the:

  • European Economic Area (EEA)

  • United Kingdom

  • Brazil

we apply additional legal protections as required by:

  • GDPR

  • UK GDPR

  • LGPD

These safeguards ensure your data continues to receive a high level of protection, even when processed outside your country.

How do you protect my data during international transfers?

We rely on a combination of legal, technical, and organizational safeguards, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): We use the latest EU-approved Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914/EU) and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum in our agreements with key service providers (including Kajabi). These contracts legally require them to protect your data to European standards.
  • Extra security measures: Where needed, we and our providers apply additional protections such as encryption, access controls, and strict internal policies.
  • Recognized privacy frameworks: Some of our providers participate in internationally recognized privacy frameworks, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), or maintain industry-standard security certifications.

Who processes my data internationally?

We only share personal data with trusted service providers that help us run our business (like hosting, payments, analytics, and communications).

You can find a full list of our service providers and their locations in Section 6 on Third-Party Service Providers.

To recap ...

By using our website and services, you understand that your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, and that we take reasonable and legally required steps to protect it wherever it goes.

How long do you retain my personal data?
