Legal Design Summit 2025: Where Law Meets Design, Again
Sep 17, 2025
On 11–12 September 2025, Helsinki once again became the global capital of legal design. The Legal Design Summit brought together over 600 professionals from around the world, lawyers, designers, technologists, policymakers, all committed to building more human-centered, effective, and sustainable legal systems.
A Two-Day Immersive Experience
The summit kicked off with BrainFactory workshops, a full day of highly interactive sessions where participants didn’t just learn about legal design, they practiced it. From AI agents in legal design to people-centered justice, from contract design to reduce friction to legal design for sustainability, the workshops turned big ideas into prototypes, methods, and actionable strategies.
The main summit featured fireside chats and keynote speakers. Themes ranged from:
-

A Movement with Momentum
The Legal Design Summit has come a long way since its founding in 2016, with the first event the same year. It has grown into the world’s leading legal design gathering, where law meets design, and the global community comes together to reimagine contracts, justice systems, and legal services.
The 2025 edition reaffirmed what makes this event so powerful: it’s not just about listening. It’s about doing, prototyping, testing, debating, and pushing the boundaries of what law can become when it’s truly designed for people.
👉 If you couldn’t make it this year, keep an eye out for the next. Legal design is no longer a trend, it’s a movement, and the summit is where its future is being shaped.
